Federal Edict on Health Care Insurance violates Religious Freedom
Archdiocese of Hartford

The Most Reverend Henry J. Mansell, Archbishop of Hartford, has written an open letter to all parishoners in the Archdiocese of Hartford, asking for your support in reversing the new federal health care insurance edict, which will require that all employers (with few exceptions) pay for certain medical procedures and medications. As written, it violates our First Amendment right to freedom of religion, and is therefore unconstitutional.

Please click "READ MORE" below to go to the letter, and a list of Connecticut's U.S Senators and U.S Representatives contact information.

Having Baby Baptized - Godparents
Having Baby Baptized - Godparents

Godparents

Among the most important people in a child?s life should be the godparents. The work of these individuals is to help the parents to raise their children in the faith and to present to the child a model for living as a follower of Jesus. Being a godparent does not necessarily mean that if something should happen to the parents, the godparent raises the child. Only one Roman Catholic godparent is necessary.
